If surgery is the optimal choice, we'll schedule it with you either over the phone or during an office visit. We'll then help you obtain preauthorization from your insurance company, a process that might take several days.
On the day of your surgery, a family member or friend can stay with you until it's time for you to be taken to the operating room. At that point, they will be guided to a family waiting area where they can wait during your procedure.
After your surgery is complete, someone from the surgical team will contact your family member or friend. They will then have the opportunity to speak with your surgeon about your procedure.
Once you are awake and stable after anesthesia and surgery, you'll be moved to one of our private recovery rooms. There, you'll reunite with your family member or friend to complete your initial recovery process before being discharged from the center.
To reduce your risk of infection, antibiotics may need to be administered prior to any invasive test, procedure or surgery. The physician or surgeon performing the test, procedure, or surgery should prescribe antibiotics if indicated.
Our patient focused and outpatient approach allows us to provide high-quality care without the typical drawbacks from surgery in a hospital setting such as higher risk of infection, long waiting times, and extensive recovery process.
